大學部

英文系學會

成立宗旨

中央英文系由學生組成,成立之宗旨為聯繫本系同學與師生間感情,培養學術風氣。系學會的每位幹部與部員,都有一顆熱誠的心去籌劃和舉辦各項活動。從新生週一路到小畢典,系學會包辦了各種能讓系上每位同學能更快地融入這個英文系大家庭、以及推廣英美文化的活動。

成立宗旨

英文系學會於60年代初具雛形,並於民國75年確立章程組織,此後在課外組、校內師長及各行政單位幫助下順利運作至今,每年固定舉辦萬聖趴、系員大會、聖誕趴、西潮、英美週、以及英文系小畢典等活動。

迎新宿營

新生一上大學一定會報名參加迎新活動。
由大二組成的活動團隊,精心規劃三天兩夜的迎新宿營活動,同時與外系合辦,除了能和同系夥伴拉近距離,亦可以擴展外系人脈。
活動內容包括破冰的歡迎晚會、熱血歡樂的營火晚會、以及解暑的水球大戰,溫馨動人的星夜談心,等你來參加!

西潮

原全稱為「西方潮流文化月」,創辦於 1971 年,是中央大學英文系的傳統活動之一。以設計一系列活動的方式,分享西方有趣的文化給校內師生,希望讓更多人在臺灣也能體驗到熱情奔放的異國風情。
歷年來曾以六十年代美國、嘻哈、黑人為主題舉辦過系列影展、美食攤位、英文歌唱比賽等活動。
2019-2020的西潮主題為「節慶」,挑選了廣為人知的萬聖節、聖誕節作為主軸,以最接近傳統的慶祝方式發想設計系列活動,包含:「午夜狂熱」露天電影院、「西西酥酥」奇想教室、「潮好吃ㄉ」聖誕傳情,以及每年最盛大的傳統「松韻獎」英文歌唱大賽等,希望能讓中央大學的學生在臺灣也能感受到道地的節慶氛圍。

畢業公演

本系大學部學生學風活潑進取,以開闊多元的學習方向以及主動探究的精神見長,自行結合課堂學所創發於系學會活動及畢業公演,102級畢業公演起結合本系周慧玲老師申請之教育部補助,搭配「文學與劇場」課程邀請業界教師(燈光、音控、舞台設計、劇本等),使本系學生能在舉辦畢業公演時具備基礎能力,並透過此課程結合實作帶給同學深刻的體驗及深度學習,收穫良多。
